About Us
Capitol Clothing Recyclers, LLC. is a for-profit company that handles recycled goods and clothing in several Mid-Atlantic States. We are proud to partner with Susan G. Komen Central Virginia and Susan G. Komen Maryland and join in the fight against Breast Cancer with our Clothing for the Cure recycling program.

What is Clothing For the Cure
Clothing for the Cure is a program that benefits the Susan G. Komen in Central Virginia and Maryland. We place clothing collection bins conveniently throughout neighborhood shopping areas allowing everyone to easily donate their unwanted bagged textile items. Susan G. Komen benefits monthly from a portion of the proceeds of all the discarded clothing.​

How does it work?
Clothing collection bins are strategically placed in the area to benefit Susan G. Komen. Our dedicated team members work diligently keeping ​our bin locations clean and serviced enabling Capitol Clothing Recyclers, LLC to get your donations to the people who need them the most as quickly as possible.

Clothing for the Cure is an easy fundraiser to help raise money for the fight against breast cancer. It starts with us placing clothing donation bins and your help getting the word out that clothing donations can help save lives. Simply just donating after you clean out your closet is all that we ask. Susan G. Komen benefits monthly from the proceeds of the collected discarded clothing.​

Our Mission



Capitol Clothing Recyclers, LLC provides superior services in procurement, collection, and distribution of Textile and household products for many different charities, organizations, businesses, and consumers



What we do



We collect clothing in any quantity. Every week we collect thousands of pounds of clothing from our recycling programs. We weigh all the clothing received from our recycling partners to calculate the amount of money to be paid for the donated items. Payment is made monthly for every pound of clothing collected.


Where does this clothing go? We are in the business of supplying thrift stores and other customers with the highest quality second hand clothing. The clothing is giving a less fortunate person the opportunity to dress for less. This movement of recycling clothing has created hundreds of jobs in the US and kept those items out of our landfills. The clothing we recycle has a great impact on our environment. Millions of pounds of reusable and recyclable clothing and textiles are being thrown into your local landfills each and every day. Our program makes it easy for individuals, non-profits, and for profit companies to give unwanted clothing and shoes a second life..



How it works


Capitol Clothing Recyclers, LLC is proud to be the sole authorized partner to collect clothing, shoes and textiles for Susan G. Komen Central Virginia and Susan G. Komen Maryland - the worlds largest source of nonprofit funds dedicated to curing breast cancer at every stage with our Clothing for the Cure program. Donations generated from our Clothing for the Cure recycling programs will fund grants. Up to 75% of funds raised will stay in the area collected to fund local programs for women and families. The remaining 25% of funding supports national research to find the cures for breast cancer. Your clothing donation can help Susan G. Komen Central Virginia and Susan G. Komen Maryland provide a comprehensive range of breast health services including free screening, transportation to appointments, financial support, appropriate diagnostic testing and a wide range of follow-up services. We will do our best to collect as much as we can so Susan G. Komen Central Virginia and Susan G. Komen Maryland can increase access to quality breast health care.
